Original kimchi fries with ribeye bulgogi, caramelized kimchi, cheddar and monterey jack, onions, cilantro, magic sauce, sesame seeds and sriracha VS. a sourdough croque-madame laced with ham, figs, pesto aioli, gouda and a fried egg? That’s the call for Austinites to make at the upcoming “Food Truck Taste Off” sponsored by 365ThingsAustin, A Taste of Koko, and Able.
Reflecting on our one-year anniversary, we are continually reminded of how connected, motivated, and inspirational the entrepreneurial community is here in Austin. Foodies and craft brew enthusiasts are no exception. That’s why we are excited to be a part of this year’s Food Truck Taste Off hosted at Hops & Grain Brewery where Chi’Lantro will face off against Burro Cheese Kitchen for the coveted food truck award. Both Hops & Grain and Chi’Lantro are local businesses funded by the Able network.
They compete, you eat. Each truck will showcase two courses paired with a pour from the Hops & Grain Taproom, and attendees will receive a souvenir glass to take home, as well. At the end of the event, votes will be tallied and a Taste Off King victor will be crowned.
